Previously, when a prospect had opted out from receiving email, it sometimes would prevent them from receiving emails they really did want. For example, if a prospect submitted a form to download a white paper, the auto-responder email sent by a completion action containing a link to that content would not be sent.
Now, even if a prospect has opted out of receiving emails, they’ll receive autoresponder emails after completing forms and form handlers.
Notes:
- Autoresponders sent from an Automation Rule will still not send to an opted out prospect. The prospect must request the email via a form or form handler completion.
- Even after an opted out prospect receives an autoresponder email, they’ll still remain opted out from any future, non-transactional communication.
